I’d like to throw the firestick one at the wall downstairs. Streaming is all they have and if no one’s home to operate the d__n thing there is no TV. It’s been too hot during the day to watch my set upstairs.

Interestingly enough, I haven’t turned my set on in weeks…

It’s a good idea to keep one of those last ones around. They’re useful and easy to repair.

I have a bunch of remotes that hubby never told me what machine they were for and how to use them. They just sit there out of the way.

Don’t we all dream of the moment we can throw this annoying remote/ laptop/ Desktop computer out of the window (wihout opening it first). When I’m going to retire I’ll do something terrible to my work station….or probably not. One can dream, I guess.

I go to a friend’s house and it takes him about 15 minutes to figure out how to turn on the TV and sound system with the DVD player. I have a harmony remote from Logitech. You set it up online and it works for Cable box, TV and Sound system.

I can remember when I was young, if my dad wanted the channel changed guess who got up to change it.

I would rather listen to a radio then watch TV ….

I recently got a Fire Recast, OTA Dvr recorder, and was able to get rid of 2 remotes and just use the fire remote.

I remember when there was only 2 , 4 , 7 , 9 Canadian and 50 . With rabbit ears .

I think you’ll need to label them just in case.

Having been vaccinated, I have chucked all my remotes and just talk to the little computer chips in my bloodstream to change channels.

I think I did that same thing to Pig. I explained to him what my five or so different remotes do and he decided to read a book.

If you can figure out how to get one remote to talk to all your devices, that’s a good thing.

What about the remote for the remotes?

Stayed in a motel for the first time in more than a year. The remote wouldn’t work on the TV, and it gave a message that it was supposed to work on another device, but it wasn’t working. In frustration, I went out for a walk, and realized the other device wasn’t plugged in. Maybe it was putting off too much light for another guest. I plugged it in, but the channel number for the baseball game that I found immediately before was now almost impossible to find again.

I sense many televisions in the future.

I have three remotes. 1 is the cable, 2 is the television and 3 is the dvd player. None of them look alike, so we are golden.

I know, this is off-topic, but can you remind me, when the first croc died? I try to find it and I can’t.

I’m annoyed enough with one universal remote. It does everything but volume control which means I’m stuck with two remotes by the TV chair.

Aw man, I want a remote to throw at the wall!

I’ve been thinking about this for a while. Ever since the two minute rule, the comment toxicity increase, and many more, nothing seemed fun anymore. It was always nice to chat with people about the strip but those days have passed. You may think there’s an upside and I’m coming back, but you’d be wrong. The comment section has put so many pressures of all types on me and I think it’s time to leave forever. The One Follower sighning off.

Excellent marketing idea. Quick! Patent it!

This was our house until a few years ago with my wife in the role of Pig. Then I just said “to hell with it” and got TCL/Roku everything, including the surround sound system. One remote, period. Two on the rare occasions we watch a DVD or BluRay. Yes, I might be able to get a wireless surround system with more bells and whistles, but that would add complexity and might reduce domestic harmony. :-) And frankly the integrated TCL/Roku systems is pretty good.

Why not just simply mark each one? Or does that make too much sense?

I have 2 remotes. One changes the channel the other one changes the volume. You need the first one to turn the power off and the second to change the mode if you want to watch a movie. What you want to watch stream? You need these wires, plug, and this chord.
