I like the fact that Schulz defined Woodstock a “person”. In fact there is the Woodstock Nation.

Maybe they just wanted to be left abalone…

The only place in the USA with abalone is the coast of northern California (AFAIK). That’s where Schulz lived most of his life but I’ve not seen a Peanuts strip witha geographical location.

“Person?” I thought Woodstock was a bird.

Yeah, but, it’s Woodstock. He could get lost in a gentle breeze. And I don’t mean that in some whimsical way; he could actually get hit by one, and it would carry him so far that we’d never see him again.

“Person”?

I once had abalone sandwich. It had a pearl in it so I took it back to the butcher. He said someone must have fed it to the pig. And I said (wait for it), so who would put a pearl before a swine?

What else could Woodstock be afraid of? A dog?

Thanks Snoopy for the word of the day ‘abalone’. Apparently refers to sea shell. I had to google this.

Yeah, and those Abalones can be quite vicious
