Finally, a faerie!

Marigold has mentioned faeries & pixies many times, over the years .. but I think this is the first time we’ve actually seen one ‘on panel’ in the strip.

Y’know, is it just me or does Matt look like he’s based his look on someone very close to him?

Who knew Faeries were so hip and trendy?

Secrets really should be limited to not telling people what you’re about to give them as a gift. Well, and I really do NOT want to know what you look like naked… (many of you).

I hear matt’s a fairy nice guy!

Honestly, Matt showing up was inevitable, especially with Marigold basically having a bad case of Hoof-In-Mouth. I fear if she talks anymore, we might get backstories and continuity happening all over the comic!

Since this is the first time that a fairy has appeared in the strip, does this mean that we’ll also get to see gremlins appear?

It’s no secret that Faerie Matt has graduated from pupil phase. His thesis is on mycology, edibly edifying.

Notice that the colours of Phoebe’s dress look inverted from those of Matt’s shirt. Wanna pretend there’s a secret to that instead of it being a coincidence?

Had one of these flitting around my yard; it’s been a wet year and there are lots of odd fungi growing here and there. Anyway, the dogs unfortunately got to him first, and he kinda ended up like the fairy in Pan’s Labyrinth…

Is nobody pleased to meet Matt?

A secret can only be kept by a maximum of 2 people, and then only if 1 of them is dead…

Faeries or fairies are generally not so talkative except to children. They can look more human like through glamour or camouflage field they generate. Ancient species been around since the Carboniferous period some 300 million years ago.

They are all powerful and deadly. Mercurial and cryptic. Don’t go to their dimension but if you do be careful and eat nor drink anything there if you want to come home. Iron seems to be a good weapon as they don’t like it and it suppresses their powers.

And a male faerie at that.
