Someone, someday, will figure out how to use the Moon as a billboard. There have been s.f. stories written about that.
I wonder how they paid for it?
Shouldn’t that sign read – “Surrender” “HUGHmons?!!”

Must have been purchased by Dirk Raider.
Their English is good.
Resistance is futile.
Didn’t the Wicked Witch Of West already do a space billboard?
MARS NEEDS WOMEN
Robert A. Heinlein wrote a great novel circa 1950; ‘The Man Who Sold The Moon.’ One of his plans was to put advertising on Luna!
Surrender Dorothy!
Wouldn’t put it past Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, or the Twitter Jerk Jack Dorsey.
Aliens?
My first thought was a group of Billionaires, led by Bezos.
I keep wondering how they knew how high to set the orbit. Too low and gravity eventually gets it; too high won’t be seen and will eventually be cataloged as space junk……which it is.
And you are surprised that the billionaire’s loyalty is not to humanity?
Now your message can be ignored in space!

Like too far out, man.
Space sure looks polluted…
He’s been in their pay all along . . .
There’s that chaos stuff again, where one would expect normal space.
The Rumor that Coca Cola is building a Rocket programmed to paint the Coke Logo all over the face of the Moon is just a fabrication.
Coke’s marketing department decided it would be too expensive when they discovered they’d need at least 10 Rockets to get enough Paint to Lunar Orbit.
So, they are waiting for Amazon to announce discount delivery of Paint Canisters to Lunar Orbit.
Browsing through the comments, I see that no one has mentioned the Isaac Asimov short story, Buy Jupiter. Google it.
