Early use for a Lazy Susan? I wonder: Is his beak pointing in the direction that the wind is blowing from (like weather vanes today)?

I wonder why the wind seems to be changing a lot in today’s comic.

Dookey Bird seems to just “go with the flow”. Today, he’s flowing/blowing (and going in circles) in the wind. Usually he’s “flowing” slowly wherever John goes.

Looks functional to me. Don’t think that the apteryx would work as well.

He’s gone into politics… which ever way the wind is blowing.

Could come in handy as a horizontal grill
