The only real advantage of a real umpire is that a real umpire realizes that a batter’s particular style or position in the box may make it possible for him to easily hit a home run on pitches that are a few inches outside the “strike zone”. Also keep in mind that the boxes you see on TV are inaccurate and do not adjust for a player’s height, while the data being used by the MLB does adjust for this.
