Like the ocean, don’t turn your back on your audience; you’re bound to get into trouble.

Anyone can see, nothing really matters to Guitar Bob! After all, there is nothing like a good singer, and Guitar Bob is nothing like a good musician…

@Linguist Today’s strip IS funny but a variation of a theme our HERO Mr Andrew Capp’s dislike of Guitar BOB is legendary and I don’t blame him , my avatar which I have used before is a warning not to open the gate if you don’t want to know what Hell is because of the Doberman there, it is a fallacy there are no bad dogs only bad owners I had a girl Doberman named Hilda , short for Brunhilda she was the mildest dog I ever had , the worst you could get was a slobbering or a whip on the knee because I hate docking , come passerai la vostra Domenicha mio piu meno Vecchio Amicho our Sunday should be slightly busy but we will cope I hope , we are both in a good mood , no errands to run or shopping to do just stay in the house keeping hydrated and see the holy Mass celebrated by our Archbishop at 9.30, keep safe and a bientot pal

He probably should of kept it. My look at the time. If Flo hasn’t cindered his dinner it’s most likely in the dust bin.

This goes a little beyond Andy’s standard dislike of Bob’s singing.

“And he looked up in pained surprise and the concrete hardened crust,Of a stale pork pie caught him in the eye and ‘Bob’ bit the dust.”

The bloke with his legs sticking out in the first panel is a nice touch!

Probably got too much of guitar Bob!

Does the meat of Andy’s argument with Guitar Bob mean a Pie in the Eye for Bob?

Besides the meat pie throwing does Jack not notice the bloke on the floor passed out? If that were Andy he would of been thrown out.

And Bob might be singing autobiographically when he gets to the “Mama, just killed a man” line after that pie hits him.

Andy ought to lay it on the line with Jack, either Guitar Bob goes or I go. It would leave Jack with a tough decision because neither of them appear to be much good for business.

A variation on the classic pie in the face bit. Sadly, you don’t see pie fights very often in comedies anymore.

Queen lead singer Freddie Mercury, who died of AIDS in 1991, never was a fan of Andy Capp, I guess.
