Was just thinking the other day that my hair was losing body, while my body was gaining hair. Or that my hair was getting thinner while my body was doing the opposite.
Both of my sons lost most of their hair when they were still teenagers. My grandfather had a full head of hair when he passed away in his late eighties. You never know how the genetic dice will roll.
I have a genetic disease (Dupuytren’s Contracture) that is NEVER fatal or a threat to one’s health, just inconvenient. IMO, if you’re going to have a genetic condition, it’s the one to have! I feel like I hit the lottery of genetic conditions!
Having reached that point, I’ll confirm that “aging sucks”…and certainly that “getting old ain’t for sissies”.BUT: it doesn’t change the facts. It sux getting old.
I’ve been genetically blessed to have inherited the full head of hair genes from both parents. All the men on my mother’s side of the family – although having a predilection for premature graying – all have good hair and lots of it. My Dad, although he had a slight widow’s peak all of his life, he kept most of his hair.
I am late on this post. My hubby started loosing his hair in his 50’s, he is 76 now and almost bald. We had fun trip to Branson, MO the 4 of us, left Wednesday and came back on Saturday. As for face masks that was either worn or not by most who attended. We had a great time. I did read my comics by my smart phone I just do not have where I can comment.

Hair is one thing, but when your fingers start falling off on their own, you know you’re REALLY old

My parts are systematically removed by my dermatologist.

He should maybe get some of that spray on hair that we used to see on the late night TV ads.

Some worn out parts are more cosmetic than functional. And they can be covered up or replaced.
Some guys use this supposed worn-out feature shown here to their advantage. Some even enhance it and make it look really “cool”.

I’m sorry sir, that part is no longer available.

Ha! Got all of my parts thanks to secrets hidden under brambles!

Meh, that happened when I was still quite young.

And then you have to have surgery to replace some of those worn-out parts…

Grow old gracefully….that’s what they used to say….you have to be strong to grow old…too many twists and turns to throw you off….

If I was going to “lose a part”? I’d CHOOSE hair!

A leaky gas tank is one of the worst. I hate being on an elevator with someone with one of those.
