I just read an article about how the people in charge of baseball are trying to figure out how to make it more exciting.

This “pastime” does have a lot more grand slams.

Rat may have a point, but imo, the riots lack a lot of production values: Lighting is terrible, the mics are too far from the actors, camera angles are bad, too many characters to keep track of, and I can’t tell which side are the good guys.

I hope the Little Leagues aren’t teaching the kids this new “national pastime”. They should stick with baseball at least until they get to college.

How to stop the rioting? Arrest the rioters, Don’t release them as they are a danger to the public, set their court date for at least a month in the future. No bail if any person was injured or property damaged. Require the rioter pays damages plus 20 percent. Then elect public officials who will actually enforce the laws.

Things certainly have changed in this country. Rioting is now called Peaceful Protesting in the media.

Some people only see “mostly peaceful protesting”. Well actually … that depends on who’s doing the rioting and/or how can this be used (spun) to support their narrative/cause?

Yes, the national pastime oddly cheered on by news and politicians.

Baseball is mostly peaceful.

Protesting a great and time honored tradition is this country. The problem is when you mix in some malcontents that just want anarchy and violence, your protest gets hijacked. Once that happens, whatever message you are trying to convey gets lost and your cause becomes tarnished by those who probably didn’t care about it in the first place.

And that he shot those people by “ax-eee-dent”. And that the Proud Boy Nazis bail money and Kyle’s several violations of his release were all just in fun by “fine people on both sides.”

I agree with rat about baseball. "Let’s modify cricket, inverting a bunch of rules, so we end up with the most boring game in existence. Then, let’s see what we can do to rugby. Ninety minutes of nonstop action is just too much.

Riot rules are much more complex although you can appreciate the action without being an expert.
