Pandemic reminded us of the vagaries of life and the frailties of humanity. We can’t (or maybe shouldn’t) blame a party or a person, no one knows exactly what to do. This “societal stress test” has certainly revealed flaws in the system

It could be over. It should be over. But apparently some people would rather poison themselves, die, and kill others than do the very simple and easy things that could end it.

Here in Folsom, California, we’ve been having carnivals and outdoor gatherings, often maskless, on an ordinary basis since late 2020, and the world hasn’t ended.

History shows that pandemics last for years, usually at least four. One of our many mistakes this time around was thinking it would be over quickly. When it’s novel and worldwide, not to mention when people refuse to cooperate with efforts to mitigate it, the pandemic is going to last a long time. Wars can last a long time.

Only 50% of Americans are vaccinated. But that is because of the kids. 78% of adults have had at least one shot which is a good sign.

You should never give a politician more power, they will always abuse it. You should also never let the news media know how easily you can be scared. They will also abuse that knowledge. Fewer scary stories, fewer dictatorial politicians, more vaccines. Problem solved.

Downward trend, eh? Try this. Get out a sheet of graph paper. Plot quality on the vertical axis and time on the horizontal. Enter data points for these: Eisenhower, Nixon, Ford, Reagan, Bush the Adequate, Bush the Lesser, Trump. Perform a regression analysis. Discuss.

I never could see any humor in the movie “Ground Hog Day,” doing it over and over unto eternity. The worst of all of it though is Trump and that real plot to take down our country. The only thing that saved the good old U.S. of A was and is that Trump is a dumb as a brick narcissist.

2021. I think the motto is actually “You gotta fight for your right to party” in honour of all those trying to live their normal lives and party with friends and family while ignoring the governments recommendations.

2022 The motto will be “I’m still standing after all these years” or “I will Survive”

If masks work so well, how come the only time you see Dems wearing them is when they are on camera? Whenever they think no one is looking, they unmask. Then they come up with some lame excuse when they get caught. I saw a video a couple of days ago of some lefty bigwig preparing to give a speech. The cameras showed him backstage unmasked the entire time he was waiting to go on. When it was his time to speak, he put a mask on, walked to the lectern, and immediately removed his mask! He wore it for a grand total of about 5 seconds, but he put it on to make it appear that he was always masked.
