Then there are people who are “true believers.” That is really scary. God gave these people brains, but they don’t seem to want to use them. It is not that they have limited mental capability. Some of them are very intelligent. They just have a flawed decision making process: one based on what they want to be true rather than what the facts state.

They managed to fire up the divisions and give life to the hatreds between groups, foster outright lies about their actions and the virus, and finally encourage an attack against one of the oldest and most effective democracies in history. All done, while denying any responsibility.

Another 3 to 5 presidential terms will pass before anything like a reasonable and thoughtful government policy becomes the norm. That is, if the current environmental deterioration gives us the time.
