Why Friday?

Arlo frankly enjoys Halloween.

There are so many Halloween strips on Go Comics tonight, I just had to go dig into my stash of Mounds.

I see you have a guest. So, where’s Arlo?

Halloween is not what it used to be. When I was a kid it was the night you could wander far and wide, going all the places you weren’t supposed to, scaring yourself and any other kids around in the process. And collecting half a pillowcase of candy in the process. The whole neighborhood would be out and about.

Yeah. This Frankenstein mask is hot!

I don’t think Janice will be too happy next weekend either……it’s the end of Daylight Savings. Maybe she will get an extra hour of sleep if Ludwig allows.

She’s got a treat, but she’s forgotten her Lady Godiva costume.

Living in the middle of nowhere in the 3 Halloweens I’ve been here I’ve had one kid show up. They moved last year May, had none and not expecting any this year either. (But I’m prepared just in case.)

We haven’t gotten any trick-or-treaters yet so I assume they’ll be out tonight.Of course the average age in our neighborhood must be in the mid 70s, so that limits how many we get anyway.

And Thanksgiving (in the U.S.), the winter holidays and New Year’s are right around the corner, Janis. You better shore up your liver.

If Janis lived where we do she’d complain (as I do) that they don’t allow trick or treaters. It’s the perfect 55+ community, too. Well lit, safe. Dang older guard who has been here for 30 yrs doesn’t want it. Eh, we go to trunk or treat in town.

T-or-T is Halloween night. Period. Come before that, you get nothing!

All the packaged candy tastes awful these days. Only decent ones are Dove dark and milk choc.

Is Janis really fed up with the trick or treaters, or is she fed up with waiting on Arlo (who’s too “busy” waiting for the trick of treaters?)

Some meat, cheese and wine sounds like a good idea. And I don’t think alcohol.

Where I live no more trick-or-treating. They have church or other based meeting so safely do the T-or-T’s now for some time.
