And that’s just the flight part…when you add the TSA searches, COVID restrictions, etc…

A handful of years ago we flew from Phoenix to Tennessee for a week-long class my wife had to take. I went along so we could have evenings in Pigeon Forge together. All was well until the flight back. The way things worked we had a layover in North Carolina. Because the flight had been delayed and we missed our connection the airline put us up in a local hotel. We arrived there about 12:30 a.m. local time and we had to be up by 4:30 a.m. to catch the shuttle for our flight. There were three guys from the Outlaws motorcycle “club” hanging around in the lobby and riding through the parking lot until sometime after 2:00. Adventure is where you find it! (I am sure glad I went with her!)

His crystal ball shows a glimpse of the “future”. It doesn’t show causation. (Jumping to conclusions is not new.)

Flying has become a lot easier for me since I got head phones and movies/movies on my mobile. Their coffee hasn’t gotten any better over the years. Though, I will admit, Air New Zealand does it better than most.

    To Mr. Mastroianni,

A swami is NOT a soothsayer. It is time you stopped this colonial mindset hangover of misleading portrayal of Indic culture.

Why are the letters in United Airlines’ logo so far apart? Shouldn’t they be…..United?

My favorite airplane story happened sometime in the 1980’s. The company I worked for in Nashville sent several of us (including the president) to Spartanburg SC to visit the Millikin headquarters there. After boarding the return flight (a small propeller plane to Nashville thru Atlanta), a flight attendance asked for 2 volunteers to take another flight (as it was overbooked). Me and a co-worker volunteered and they quickly gave us each a $150 check and booked us on a FIRST CLASS jet going to Nashville thru Memphis. We ran and caught it and (after enjoying first class) when we got to Memphis and were sitting at the connecting flight gate a group of 5 professional child fiddle players played an impromptu recital at our gate. We then proceeded to Nashville and got to the luggage pickup at the same time as our colleagues – waving our $150 checks and having a story to tell.
