Women are safer drivers but unfortunately it’s classic comic shtick that they are always causing dents and scratches in the family car. Gracie Allen didn’t help things.
Mom was my driving instructor. We lived in the country, but I had to wait till I was 10 to learn to drive. We would practice driving around the house, past the grain bins and then I had to be sure to stop at the gravel road to check if there was any traffic (there never was), before proceeding.
Obvious, she signed up for the wrong course. The sign clearly states: Iving School Why did she think a school that teaches about planting ivy would be able to instruct her in operating a car?

No, Ma’am. The lesson is a write off and so is the car and your chances of getting a do-over. However, auto insurance is another matter.
