Saw the cutest thing this afternoon. Thr Gambels Quail Family (8) was taking pieces of kale from the bunnies dinner and biting the piece and tossing it up in the air, and of course it flung the kale by doing so, so they were running around after the piece of kale. I guess they thought that if it was good enough for the bunnies….
The HP business model: the printer hardware is relatively cheap, but the ink is where the money is.
Fortunately I mostly use the scanner to get PDFs of my documents. Only need to print something important about twice a year — but by then the cartridge is all dried out and no amount of cleaning runs from the “Utility menu” will clear the clogs.
Where does a squirrel find shrimp tails? No headache this morning thanks to my wonderful chiropractor! And such a gorgeous blue sky day with fresh snow on them mountains and the cottonwood leaves still in their full glory are the heavy winds.
I was catching up on some postings from earlier this week and caught one I missed.Whisplicka – did you and your husband move to CO? If so, I missed that bit of news.
Well, nuts – it’s a gorgeous day out and I have been experiencing flu symptoms of my skin hurting for the last few hours after yesterday’s booster. I must put it into perspective, I am not suffering from COVID.
It’s always those pesky extra fees that get you! Maybe he should have gone with the wombat licence. On another note, saw two sparrows and a wooly bear caterpillar while out walking today.
At 4 this afternoon, the main person responsible for Redemption Road Rescue for horses called me to take in two horses that needed to be quarantined. She was driving from East Tennessee with them. She sent a volunteer on immediately to my house to secure a missing gate and ready the barn. She pulled in right at 6 and it was almost sunset. She and another volunteer got the horses unloaded and into the barn. They will be coming to care for them as I am still not walking very well with my fused lumbar vertebrae. I am seeing my ortho guy tomorrow and requesting another steroid injection in a few weeks, so I will not be in constant pain during Christmas. Anyway the horses had been in bad shape at an auction, and about to be sent to the “glue factory”, when someone bought them and called Lori to come get them. She hooked up her trailer and took for for a 6 hour drive. She wants them to have vet checks before taking them to the facility where there are many starved and abandoned horses being saved and getting ready for adoption. I admire these folks so much!!!!
People like the Rescue Lady, and You, rate highly in my estimation of how people should live and assist others, both 2 footed and 4 footed, as well as winged & feathered. You do your utmost to care for them,,,I have seen how your “critters” live,,,very well, so know these equines will be getting the best care in your county and the state of Tennessee, possiblely the best foster place I can think of. Bless you, Beth

Listen here, squirrel – you can’t change who you are. You don’t need a squid license. You’ll still be a squirrel.
