Never could stand the winging and whining music background to country music.

Johnny Cash, on the other hand, was amazing!

Country music sounds very little like the Country I grew up with, probably the reason that I like it now

Okay, so I’ll admit to the most tenuous connection here, but what ever happened to Engelbert Humperdink?

Country music all sounds the same and the artists all look the same.

“Country” is the only pop music left that has melody

I had to listen to country music when I was child. In those days, most of it was so bad I honestly believed it could damage your speakers. However, the lyrics do deal with real emotional issues.

My favorite lyric was from Moe Bandy:“It was always so easy to find an unhappy womanTill I started looking for mine”

Wow, going straight to greatest of all time (Merle Haggard)! I agree with him…some of the “country” on the radio nowadays is garbage.

Country music is a real downer. There’s nothing uplifting about country music.

There’s Country music, there’s Western music, then there is Country Western music. It’s just a sound, and a feeling that’s in the music. And you either hear it and appreciate it, or you don’t.
