For now, the kid bottom-lined it, but he figured he was in for a good haul if he kept quiet. Maybe next year …

For years our son didn’t admit that he already knew. No sense messing up a good thing.

Stop believing in Santa, and you get socks for Christmas.

We never really told our son that Santa wasn’t real and he has never brought it up, so I’m not sure what he thinks. We have a saying around the house this time of year: “if you don’t believe, you don’t receive…”

Kids eventually figure it out by themselves. My sister was in line to see Santa and asked me why I didn’t get in line, too. I told her he had come to my school; I went to a boarding school (tells you a lot about what kind of kid I was!) and we wouldn’t have a chance to see him “outside”. She nodded and went on about her business.

He’s fireproof as are the gifts he brings the chimney. Don’t ever worry….

He’s be jollier if you gave him something stronger than milk.

Millions of gullible citizens in Illinois believe that the rich are all going to get taxed even more and all their problems will be solved…somebody really needs to tell them, before the fiscal fire can’t be put out. (No more serious posts today)

Believing something is affected by what’s in it for you by believing or disbelieving.

I always thought it was sad when kids were made to believe that Santa was real, but especially when it goes on way too long. Santa is lots of fun even when you know he’s just pretend, and it’s better to know your parents would not lie to you.
