Climate change is going to happen whether we are on the planet or not. The problem is that we are pushing it in a bad direction. So we need to do two things:
1. STOP PUSHING (Abate)
2. Make plans to deal with it such as the evacuation of coastal cities and the relocation of agriculture. (Adapt)
I’ve seen all kinds of figures on the rise in sea level due to global warming. One of the outliers is that it will rise 300 feet by 2100. I am not sure about the date, but it will get there at some point if the trend continues.
When it does the entire State of Florida will be reduced to a tiny island, 312 feet above sea level off the coast of Alabama. Ironically, but NOT surprisingly, Florida forbids the use of terms like “climate change” and “global warming” in official State documents.
I always think that wine and art critics are way up there with the biggest wastes of space going. I think that part of the courses to become one or the other must be the forcible injection of about 25 thesauruses ( or is that thesauri?) so they can endlessly rabbit on and on and on about a glass or bottle of crushed fruit or some mysterious daubs that only the artist and the critics can understand. Or want to understand.Wine – I like the taste or not.Art – i like the picture or sculpture or whatever. That’s all I need and want to know

My taste buds have died. Been forced to take in too many conflicting attitudes, misinformation, outright bull, and scammers taking a ride on all that.

A bouquet of deforestation with just a hint of massively unnecessary airline travel.

I often took notes in class, but I never thought to taste them.
