Buy Nothing Day. These 2 holidays contradict each other. I will not be buying any of the Black Friday deals, but there are a couple grocery items I might need to get.
National Leftovers Day. That one isn’t surprising. I have some leftover ham and mashed potatoes. I forgot to open a can of the cranberry sauce glop.
National Native American Heritage Day
National Cake Day. I was planning on putting a package of Little Debbie swiss cake rolls in my lunch for work. Does that count as cake?
National Day of Listening. Now listen up, Chesney, you are NOT going to Mexico!
You’re Welcomegiving Day. Yesterday, we gave thanks, so today we give you’re welcomes, I guess.
National Flossing Day
Maize Day. I have lots of frozen maize (corn) in my freezer. I could have some with my leftover ham and mashed potatoes.
Señor Gato has another think coming if he thinks he can get away with his reverse immigration scheme. Mexican authorities can spot trouble coming even before it crosses the border into U.S.
I was reading on Newsweek about a tiny U-Haul with people moving from Florida to Idaho was pulled over in Georgia and it had 41 Sweet kitties packed in the back with all the furniture and belongings! I sure hope Annie isn’t planning anything this badly planned and dangerous, other than tying Chesney to the front that is…
In case you haven’t treated yourself or another cat person to a copy yet, I see that Ten Cats books “The Chesney Chronicles” and “Oliver! My Own- um- Book” are each $2 off until November 30th!! https://www.amazon.com/dp/154674990Xhttps://www.amazon.com/dp/1720322805
Even though Canadian Thanksgiving was 6 weeks ago and Christmas is a month away, I could really go for some turkey thigh and breast meat, a generous scoop of gravy, and some stuffing right about now.
Chesney, you have a snowball’s chance in Hades of succeeding in your little scheme.
We’re home, safe and sound. Unpacking is done, laundry is going. Mail has been dealt with, packages taken care of.This is the part of trips that I don’t care for – the stuff you have to do when you get back. This trip was exactly what I wanted it to be. We played our dice game with our friends a lot. We ate at the places I’ve missed. The last one was an old Winchells Donuts on the way off of the base. We stopped this morning and got 4 donuts. We have not had Winchells since 2002. We had a great turkey dinner with our friends. The weather was perfect. Our room was right on the water on the submarine base so we got to see all sorts of Navy ships coming and going. Saw a few cruise line ships as well as one BIG cargo ship come in. We saw a submarine come in as well. It was just the perfect trip, which was nice because it’s probably my last one over there. I can’t deal with the traffic, the population explosion or the building explosion. Now, we have a few weeks to rest up before we leave for NM next month.
Since I’m the only one eating, I go out for Thanksgiving and cook my turkey parts (2 thighs and 4 tails) at Christmas. I still have plenty of leftovers that I freeze. Then, when I’m in the mood for turkey and gravy I can pull out a pack and warm it up. Cook some rice and call it dinner.
Well, Santa came early to my house today. In the shape of a 10 weeks old dachshund wee girl. My daughter said that Santa advised her that after 10 weeks, it is hard for a puppy to bond with its new family, so she arrived today. MAJOR surprise!. I will ask Gweedo to post a picture, perhaps tomorrow. Her name is Winnie. Also arriving with her is a stuffed dog that can contain a device that has a heart beat, and a heating pack to warm in microwave and insert in back along with the heartbeat thingy. We shall see if she sleeps all night. The four other dogs will alert me if she doesn’t. (Two of the four are my grand dogs. So now I have 3 dogs, one elderly crippled dog, a 3 yr old small terrier type dog, rescued in mid Sept, named Finn, and Winnie, the weinie.
Chesney is one loco gato if he thinks he can pull off his scheme. Will he? Will the warehouse be saved? Tune in tomorrow, same Ten Cats time, same Ten Cats channel! On another note, saw five finches, three juncos, and four chickadees while out walking today.
