That’s standard procedure for runners in cold weather. When they start off, they’re freezing cold. Half way through, they’re down to two layers. By the end of the run, they’re down to a t-shirt and shorts. Ten minute later, all of the layers are back on.
Frazz’s color combinations reminded me I have a favorite old winter coat. The puppy chewed one bottom corner so the zipper is useless. I also have a too large fleece vest. I now wear the vest over the coat and zip the vest. My coat is lumberjack red and black plaid but the vest is bright green. My fashion sense, like Frazz’s, is thick skinned.
I know someone who wears a scarf every time she leaves the house, but she never returns with the scarf. I think I’d be worse if I attempted this layering thing.
Yup. Long socks, boxers, a t-shirt made of wicking material, a long sleeve shirt, flannel lined jeans, a vest and a long sleeve fleece jacket. A parka, hat and gloves if needed. When it gets colder, it ALWAYS gets colder up here, then long johns and maybe glove liners and mittens, a scarf, ear muffs or a trapper hat. And a Canada Goose parka or the Columbia Saskatoon. And a thermos full of a warm/hot beverage, like a hot buttered rum or cocoa.

You mean color-coordination is actually a thing?

Isn’t Steve Bannon the patron saint of layering?

My favorite layer is a well-heated house.

I’d start off shoveling snow looking like I was on an Artic expedition. In an hour I’d be down to jeans and a t-shirt.
