A comment on yesterday’s strip that I decided to make here so more people would see it. Not only is the second to last panel from yesterday’s strip the December page in the new calendar, it is available on other things in the Zazzle store. In fact it is one of Georgia’s designs that are available to put on pretty much anything Zazzle offers if it fits. Also my calendar has shipped and they expect me to get it this week. I can’t wait.
When I worked in Quality Assurance I was taught there is two basic types of testing ; Non-destructive tests where the item is intact after the test. And destructive testing where … well thats sort of self explanitory.
Lupin and puck in the tree! Which one will knock down more ornaments? WHICH ONE WILL PULL DOWN THE TREE ITSELF? 1 point per ornament, 100 points per tree. Maybe we’ll get a krum gets the snitch sort of thing if there are more than 100 ornaments.
Well Ma’am, everything checks out. You just have to fix a burned out light, in section 5 and I’m sorry that a few ornaments didn’t survive the integral structure test.
P.S I’m selling Pun resistant eye shades -ear muff, combo! For 3 easy payments of, 839.95, you can avoid seeing and hearing rim shot groan inducing puns!
I got out six Temptations, two for each kitty, and broke two in half for my toothless Nikki—not because she’s toothless, oh no, but because she wants to be in charge and now she thinks she’s getting twice as many as the others. Then my dog barked rather urgently to go out, so I left the Temptations on the table and took the dog out. When I came back, there were only two Temptations left on the table, but still three cats on the floor—three starving cats who have obviously never been on the table. I couldn’t bear to punish the innocent, so I wound up rewarding the guilty. Not that anyone here was ever guilty of anything, ever , oh no.
I have the tree up, but not decorated. So far, oopsie has just sat under it, hasn’t tried to climb it or anything. This will be the first Christmas without Vlad. Every single year, without fail, he would try to eat the artificial tree. It was always a challenge to keep him from trying to have a snack…….
This morning Update ended up stretched out about 6 inches from Reboot. This was close enough that Reboot could twitch the end of his tail in Update’s face. She promptly tried to swat said tail and Reboot would twitch it out of her reach. He looked like he was trying to play with her without actually playing with her. When she caught his tail, he swatted her. She swatted back, and the swat fest was on. Both were still stretched out on their sides about six inches apart. When Update would stop swatting, Reboot would start the whole thing over again by twitching his tail in her face.
I know it was just play because neither one was hissing or growling.
It’s an articifial tree. The integral structure is either metal or a heavy duty plastic as far as the trunk of the tree is concerned. Not much to be concerned about there. At least not until it’s time to throw it away. Then the concern is where it goes when you take it to at the transfer station.
The real concern right now isn’t the integral structure. It’s balance. Can the tree take the weight of one, two, three, or four kitties on any one side and not fall over. Possible shattering preshush (?spelling) family heirlooms in the process.
Does anyone want to talk about Lupin? I read Georgia’s latest update . . . and I feel so desperately sad . . . I’m hoping for a miracle. As Georgia said, hope is unstoppable. ❤ And should our darling Cat of Adventure have to cross over the Rainbow Bridge in an untimely manner, he’ll forever be immortal in BCN, in our hearts and minds, forever our elated Anchorcat and Tiny Horse. {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{sending Lupin extra rumbling purrs, ear scritches, head boops, bumps, and a Big Spoon}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}
OMC! I can’t believe it! I just heard from @Michael G!!!! His e-mail said “Just got loaned a machine. Hey, just moved to a sitting position. Been a long time; OK otherwise.” Could have knocked me over with a feather! I’m not an early bird, so you early birds feel free to spread the news tomorrow!
Thank you all in the Mega-Orb for your beautiful messages about my friend Steve’s passing. Like my aunt says, you never truly lose people you love. “What you miss is their presence. But their essence endures.” And that goes for everyone here who’s lost a loved one be they People, Cat, or other. Peace be with you this Cold Moon, this Winter Solstice, this Christmas and always.

Queen Catshepsut the Golden: My fellow cats, let us congratulate the Thomios on building this Yuletide tree.
Thomios: Thank you, Your Majesty. The tree was based on a design suggested by the Royal Procurers. Of course they won’t tell how they found it.
Sophititi: I am pleased to provide ornaments created by our own skilled artisans.
Tabith-Isis: And here are a few glowing red dots for decoration.
The Queen: Now, we need volunteers to place the ornaments on the tree.
Lupinium: I will start by testing the integrity of the tree.
Sometime Later
Lupinium: Your Majesty, I am happy to report the tree passed the rigorous Thwump test.
The Queen: Very good. But we still need someone to place the shining star upon the highest bough.
Puckmosis: May I suggest our champion climber, Beatrixia.
Bea: No problem.
All gathered around the decorated tree
Elvis-Anum: It looks so real, I’m almost pleased!

Structure is inspected to see if it’s safe for cats, but the cats have to inspect it to see if it’s safe for cats. There’s logic in there somewhere.
