Better buy a little foam insulation for the ceiling just to make SURE you don’t hear them…or at least egg cartons, which were common for studio soundproofing in the early days of radio.
Ah, now I remember! I thought that the addition came after the incident with April and Farley. It instead comes after the storyline about Lawrence. (I think!) Should be coming up fairly soon.
Weird that the parents will be moving downstairs. They usually like to be on the main floor. Unless it means they are moving downstairs to the main floor? Are they upstairs currently?? haha! I don’t even know!
Our first house had all the bedrooms upstairs. After two boys the next house had a downstairs master bedroom at the opposite end. The only issue was the game room was above it.
I must have grown up in an odd family. If we kids argued too much or too loudly, we were told “Stop that arguing” or “Be quiet”. But then, we’re not comic characters, lol.
That’s the whole idea behind the “master suite”, something that started to become a thing in the 90s….. not just a master bedroom, but a suite… With its own separate bedroom, bathroom, and sitting rooms… Almost like a separate apartment inside the house. The idea is that the parents can lock themselves in away from the kids and have some freaking peace and quiet..

Instead, you might get an earful from the neighbors, listening to months of hammering.

Boy Helly, you always have an ulterior motive, don’t you? This is just another case of you having a problem and taking the EASY WAY OUT!

Did you put the baby in Elizabeth’s room so you wouldn’t be able to hear her? All signs point to “yes”.

Gonna lose that up-and-down-the-stairs free exercise. It’s actually a benefit.

If the whole job takes more than a week or two, you have an incompetent contractor.

That’s odd. Most families I know built up the basement with rooms for the kids. Well, either way, good walls make for good families.

Everything looks great on paper.
But how often do “on paper” and “real life get close together?”

Elly better use some of grandma’s money to see an opthamologist. Her eyes are bugging out in the fourth panel!

Not surprising that the Ol’ Hippie has an agenda. Despite their proclamations to the contrary, that lot was nothing if not self-serving.

The first argument will be who gets the biggest bedroom! The oldest, of course, but Lizardbreath probably will not understand that.
