How quickly Goldie forgets that she would probably have died if the woman had not left food for her and taken her to the vet when she realized Goldie was sick.

I wonder how much Goldie charges? Have some things I could get off my chest…

Cats can plot mischief.

Oh, Detective Goldie is also a therapist? Now that’s the kind of therapist I can trust!

I have been told to gently introduce new food mixed in with old food, to get the cat used to new blend of food, gently. I found out the hard way, from both ends of the cat. :(

Goldie, therapists are supposed to make notes of what the patients are telling them. Both The Woman and Puck’s mental health are doomed.

I really like this strip and Georgia is fantastic with her artistic talent. What I really like are the people here that comment here, you’re all are like good friends and family! I really like it when Georgia comments here, too. She hasn’t done that much lately, but I’m sure she’s busy with taking care of her family and her cats. Love you Georgia and your family. ❤️

Now, Goldie. The woman saves you and gives you a home. It is wrong to say such things about the woman who adopts you. You gots to be ashamed of yourselfs. But however, foods is foods. There is no compromise in case of foods. Let her have it, cat.

Aw, Goldie. And poor Pucky! I’m sure a few treats placed next to a mound of the new food on the same dish might help. It did with Penny when I tried out new food with her.

Don’t cha just loves the lovely colouring. All handmade. How many comics these days can boasts of all hand drawn and hand coloured strips? A big thumbs up and kudos for everyday of course, whether I says it or not.

I understand Goldie and Pucky’s frustration.

I have to go to the hospital tomorrow for a test. It’s nothing serious. However, I can’t eat or drink anything but clear liquids for 24 hours before the test. Food is essential in my life; I like to cook it and eat it, not to mention my evening martini. I am going to hiss and spit at the stupid surgeon when I see him tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Back on the Nile

Thomios: I’m concerned that we need to eat healthier, but the Royal Court is resistant to change.

Sophititi: I understand the problem. Awhile back I started experimenting in a new artistic medium. Not everyone appreciated my new artwork.

Thomios: What did you do?

Sophititi: I enlisted the aid of several of my colleagues. That’s when Arachna, Maat-Tilda, and Adobe Style pitched in to collaborate.

Thomios: I remember that. You created a beautiful tapestry beginning with Maat-Tilda’s unfinished university project.

Sophititi: Yes. We called it the college collage. We all added to it.

Thomios: And now it’s on display at the Nile Library and Coffee Center.

Sophititi: But we didn’t stop there. We enlisted the aid of other cats. Elvis-Anum added some wonderful script, Puckmosis wrote a poem, and Serfig-Aro created a musical piece when we had the dedication.

Thomios: So what I need to do is enlist the help of all my fellow cats to create healthy and delicious meals!

Sophititi: And I’m sure the Royal Procurers will be glad to help. As long as you don’t ask to many questions.

OT: Vacation is over, already???

Wet food for cats and dogs has also been hit by supply line problems. My preferred brand has completely stopped making their wet line because they can’t get ingredients in. The stock on my pet store shelf has also been going through a lot of rapid changes and fluctuations as brands are or are not offering certain lines/flavors.

So now my cats are just getting a random grab bag of stuff that used the meats they like.

Why is all on The Woman…?? Does The Man get no grief??

First rule about changing food on cats: do it gradually, not cold turkey.

I’m not sure where, and in what thread this goes, but, About 1 hour ago Mudd said,

All the cats need to do is be cats. My late wife’s Oriental Shorthair cats do exactly what it is that she wanted them for. They are trouble makers with a capital T and they are loud and inquisitive and CATS. It seems like everyday they act like they have never seen something in the house and it must be moved or checked out, one of them always moves one of the paintings on the wall because he can.

Puck on the analysis couch is just so darling, but then Puck is always darli g, I guess. Still, he’s extra darling here. Poor, sweet Pucky.

Oh, yes, I recognize the expression Goldie’s face. I’ve seen that, and suffered for it.

Goldie is a practical cat.

Any one else got possibilities for Goldie’s revenge list?

Just a character observation here: I’ve just reread all the strips in this story arc and here’s what I’ve noticed. Goldie has been extremely angry about this new food business since the get-go. Puck has gone from bewildered to depressed to snapping into very un-Pucklike rage, to finally reflection. Lupin and Elvis, on the other hand, have reacted as one would expect of them. Although both also are not pleased with this change, Lupin has reacted with playfulness and Elvis with as much dignity as possible in such a situation.
