He killed it! He killed the spider. He killed it with his performance. He “killed” his guitar. He may have killed his career.

Was the thunderous applause in appreciation of the greatness his performance?

… or in appreciation of a welcome end to his performance?

He is a pioneer. I remember these gestures pleasantly in Kiss concerts.

Was the spider’s name Boris?

He reminded me of the singing bard on the Netflix show “The Witcher”.

I got nothin’. That’s about all I can do with a guitar too. Though, I can toot a recorder a little. My Jingle Bells solo is awesome. (Well, Mom thought so)

Read an article about web-spinning spiders a while ago. Amazing creatures. It appears that the one set of strands in the web are sticky (for capturing prey) and the other set non sticky (for the spider to travel on). Also, the strands vibrate at different frequencies for different prey, so the spider can “tell” what’s for dinner. . .How do scientists find this stuff out???

In my experience, anyone who is that afraid of spiders runs away and gets someone else to take care of the problem.

I remember in the early 80’s at one of the Texas Jams at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas watching Sammy Hagar..before he joined Van Halen…grab his lead guitarists guitar and smashing it onstage….the guitarist literally picked up Hagar and took him backstage in a BIG huff….about ten minutes later they came back out onstage, Hagar apologized to him and the audience and said, “Well, I have to buy him a new guitar now….”

Guitar Bob from Andy Capp? He certainly would get applause for such an action!

I think we should design a new guitar, that is allowed to fight back, and smash the guitarists on the stage floor.
