Well, because then we were able to use internment camps for the innocent, not so much now.

Panel 1: Jim Henson’s Hitler Babies

Panel 3: Phallic jokes just write themselves

(Note to self: go easy on binge watching the vintage MST3K episodes.)

enemy now are the militant right who want to control the election to the point where a legislature can overthrow the election if they don’t like it – Arizona is trying to pass a bill like this.

Oh hey, it’s that war america lost after 20 years. Well, at least the US has learned it’s lesson this time.

Hard to wage a war when your enemy doesn’t have a country.

OK, so the good guys will wear all blue and the bad guys will wear all red. That way we’ll all know. No cheating, now! Pinky swear!!

I’m old enough to remember when the Left was derided for saying Afghanistan and Iraq would lead to constant unwinnable wars all over the globe, and we were told “You’re with us or you’re with the enemy” and the invasions went ahead full steam anyway. 20 years later, and people think we need to keep fighting forever despite accomplishing absolutely nothing, but losing some 5000 service members and how many more tens of thousands of injured and disabled soldiers, plus the million or so of civilians wiped out so we could put on the world’s biggest fireworks show for "Dubya"’s fragile ego and family grudges.

And we can see how well it worked. Converting the entire area to a plane of slag would have been cheaper and more effective. Our Friend the Atom would have been happy to help.
