Works for me. I wouldn’t recognize them if they weren’t labeled. Time has been hard on them but not on me. I think I look like I did back then. No pictures please.
Way to go, Janis. Once in a great while I run into h.s. classmates, either gray-haired or very obviously dyed, and always come away feeling grateful for the good genes that have kept away the gray hair and and most of the wrinkles—so far.
An old classmate organized a grade school reunion. We graduated in 1960. I couldn’t attend because I’m in CA and the reunion was in IL. She sent me pictures. Who are all these old people????
I recently came across some pics of me in my 20s and 30s, it really did affect me for awhile. But compared to a lot of people my age (mid 60s) I’m in pretty decent shape.
Seems to be a common trait to use the others as a unit of measurement. Who still alive is fatter or appears to be close to shaking hands with the Grim Reaper and who already has been put in the boat and rowed to the other side?
Got to admit. It is a motivator to exercise and watch the diet.
I have a horrible reason for going to my high school reunion now that I’m almost 60: A full head of hair and still fit (ish) and (reasonably) trim from a lifetime of vigorous outdoor activity such as backpacking, kayaking, etc. Yes, I’m getting a lot of mileage out of the schadenfreude. Hey, I did say it was a horrible reason.
If the only way she can feel good about herself is by comparison to others she certainly needs help in developing self esteem. Lesson 1 – be comfortable with what you are.
On occasion I’ve seen more recent pictures of old girlfriends and thought how lucky I am that they dumped me. And then I wonder if they saw a recent picture of me would they think that they were lucky that they dumped me.
Jimmy has allowed Janis to hold up well. I love the “Half Gainer” over the back of the couch into Arlo’s lap. Bet she can do it in the pike position, the drawing is very near that.
If it makes you feel better, that’s fine I guess. However, to that man next to you, you haven’t changed a bit since you first met. And while he can still appreciate seeing other"younger and attractive" Women, it’s you he wants and you he will always stay with….

It’s amazing how old the classmates look as the years have passed, and entertainers too, and yet we haven’t changed at all! :D

Good thing she didn’t look at any pics of when she was a young nude model. That really would have depressed her.

I hope that didn’t seem too vain. You can’t do anything about getting old, but you can do something about staying fit.

Haven’t been on FB for a long time. Everyone I’ve known for decades have gone political postings and have lost their minds…

Saw my first wife a few years back after nearly 40 years. All I could think was “Whew….Dodged that bullet!”

When I return to my hometown, I look for young people I might know. Then I realize, all the people I might know are old.

Myself, I quit Facebook for security reasons when I bought a new computer in 2014. Two years, I quit Twitter.
I like the lower blood pressure, along with the extra free time I now have.

Many of my classmates are starting to die off – both scary and gratifying at the same time.

Apparently her old classmates are even dumpier and have even more deformed facial features.
