Once saw a mocking bird do that to a feeder skulking cat. Made 2 or 3 passes, drew blood, and the cat finally gave it up. Didn’t show up again for a couple of weeks. Thought the cat was well paid for having left dead birds on the ground.
I have had hummingbirds try to rip out my hair when I have been at the Desert Museum in AZ. I was told they like red hair, but I suspect they just might be color blind. It can sting a little when they grab a hair and take it. If you really hold still, they might try to get some moisture from your mouth or even nose. Weird experience! I love it there.

Looks like Wheeler from Dogs of C-Kennel, makes a guest appearance in today’s B.C strip.

Chirp’s hair removal. You get to remove all that unwanted hair in an instant with a feather light touch, while he tweets about it.

Well, if red birds have gone to scalping to build nests, then it’s now open season on red birds.

Frankly, a hairy nest makes me want to gag, but then again, I’m not a bird…lol

Can’t blame the ant for being nervous – ants don’t have hair so he could lose his antennae.

We used to bush our dog on the deck. We would leave behind his pile of hair. The birds did use it to build their nests.

My poor doberman lived in terror of the mockingbirds that nested in my tree. They would dive bomb her every time she stepped out the back door.

On two separate occasions, I found bird’s nests lined with my shed hair. The first nest was much prettier than the one built forty years later.

I had a sweet Lab/Shar-Pei mix who got dive bombed once in our backyard. The second time the dive-bomber became a casualty of war.
