Deleting homework for pure spite seems more like a cat thing.

From personal experience, the cats have caused more trouble with computers and deleting or changing things. Random keys can cause all kinds of issues.

I think it was suggested in “Doggie Doings Diary” in the early ’90s. Then educators learned to require it uploaded to the school cloud.

In my house, the dog eating homework was a very real danger — he loved to get his jaws on anything paper. (One time he chewed up a dollar bill, and we were all glad it wasn’t a larger denomination!) So it was a good idea for my brother and me to keep our homework in folders.

Dogs destroying important documents is something that has been going on for thousands of years. You’ve surely heard of “the dog daze of Sumer”.

And yesterday a strip appeared on Half Full in which a dog teacher asks his class (dogs) if they ate their homework
