This is so sweet and so Sophie!

For every mismatched pair of socks you have, there is another one just like it hiding somewhere.

That’s so sweet and positive and hopeful. I’m not a Valentine’s Day person, but this is my favorite Valentine’s comic ever.

And Sophie includes Tommy instead of getting mad at him for finding the other part of the pair. She’s really growing as a character.

So many little details. The heart on Lupin’s cup. Sophie’s artist’s berét. Tommy and Sophie working as a pair, and each of them managed to match up a pair.

For quite awhile we were quite the pair

Part of an outfit adding such a flair!

Then in the washing machine

Though we both came out clean

We were no longer together, it was so unfair!

I was unable to do anything

Attached to a shirt because of static cling!

It just all seemed so unfair,

We were no longer a pair,

But when hanging up the clothing

I was found right there, hey hey!

Reunited now in the sock drawer,

We’ll be together now forevermore,

Whether we fall on the floor,

Or get stuck behind a door,

We both know we’ll soon be slighted and then reunited!

A feline artist recently displayed

When socks are parted we feel such dismay,

So take a look everywhere,

Behind a sofa or chair,

You may find a sock who’s lonely and misses being a pair, hey hey!

My daily socks are a package of white cotton crew socks. The worst you can have is one mismatched at a time.

Adorable, a lovely Valentine day homage! Happy, happy Valentine’s, to all of you!

But some are never reunited. They are doomed to be solitary socks forever.

I love that Sophie calls it an “interactive piece”.

Tommy makes a very unlikely Cupid, yet there he is, bringing lonely socks back together (at least until the next trip through the dryer).

Those dryers are sure homewreckers, aren’t they? In a perfect world, the sock couple would have a nice warm tumble (can I say that?) and come out snuggled up to one another…but noooo!

Socks with no matches? Maybe Sophie can help Elvis solve the mystery so he can better guard the family’s laundry in the future. Although I am certainly not a romantic, I understand and enjoy the implication that all socks can be part of something beautiful even without a match.

OT: New Roomie

When my kids were little, I kept all their mis-matched socks in a laundry basket. Anytime someone felt like it, they could go through and try to make pairs. Or not. It was just their socks. I always made sure that two of mine went into the washer together and two came out of the dryer. The kids learned that eventually.

In Bristol England, people are being invited to donate to the cat shelter. They can write a Valentine wish on the bottom of a litter tray. The staff fills it with litter and puts it in with a kitty up for adoption. Then the kitty gets to let nature take its course. Best. Idea. Ever!

“Parted by laundry they each wait…” Sophie needs to consider writing.

Okay, I looked up the “Galentine’s Day” episode of a series I’m glad I’ve never seen. To put it mildly, I don’t get it. I could say more, but I’m sure I would offend someone(s).
