Sometimes I’d like a scooter or something to take me from my department in garden center/seasonal to the break room which is on the opposite end of the store. I added a pedometer app to my phone which I used for the first time yesterday. According to that, I walked 5 miles at work yesterday. Some days, I walk a lot more than I did yesterday.

In our store, housewares is a fair distance from the pet food department. But we’re supposed to start a big remodel starting this Sunday (overnight) where we will be moving around a lot of departments. I haven’t heard where everything is going (nobody seems to know for sure), but I heard that the garden center (and seasonal) will stay where they are because there isn’t anyplace else we could go. We have to have access to outside in the summer when we have outdoor plants & flowers. But otherwise, I don’t know what departments are moving or where they’ll be moving or when all the shifting around will be done.

By the way, I asked how our inventory went on Thursday. I was told it wasn’t great, but it wasn’t as bad as they expected it to be. “Not as bad as expected” can’t be all bad, right?

I have often wished for a minibus that could take me from one department to another, especially when I’m shopping with my daughter.

Those 2 bad boys would sure be fun to push around in a shopping cart.

Yesterday’s drive home was even more spectacular than the drive up as there were so many varieties of cloud formations – and the view of the mountains is so much different heading south, as the north side retains more snow. An icy wind chill didn’t give me much time to take pictures.

I count on WalMart for a walk when the weather is bad for walking. Of course, I always buy something.

Those two are so lazy. You boys need the exercise ~ get walking!!

No bus, but maybe they could rig up a shopping cart to take them to the pet department. (I can only imagine what kind of pandemonium that would cause.) On another note, saw four ravens and a chickadee while out walking today.

This reminds me of an old Saturday Night Live sketch. The refrain was “This store’s so big!”
