How much a lawyer would charge for the clause in the will regarding the residual estate consisting of only “a corn cob pipe and a button nose and two eyes made out of coal”?
Whoever, not whomever. Diagram it: who is subject of picks, not object of to. A punster who pays attention to words needs to pay attention to grammar, too.

Doesn’t the carrot, along with the whatever is used for eyes and buttons, belong to the person(s) that made Gonesoon?

Gonesoon wills it’s body to a place that wisely use and conserve water.

Good thing this isn’t “Dark Side of the Horse”; that carrot would have been eaten by now.

The beneficiary would be the “Puddle Jumper”!!

Perfect name for a snow person! As cold as it is I would think the coal would be of greater value!

I can’t resist:
It’s “to WHOEVER picks it up”.
A very common mistake, but at 2:30 a.m. I’m not gonna explain it.

Northern New England has no snowpeople by that name.

And here I was expecting a 14 carrot request.

Given the rising cost of heating fuel, the lumps of coal are his true Estate value.

Shouldn’t the carrot belong to whoever put in on his face first?

The squirrels get the carrot, and Rat gets the coal eyes. Call it an early stocking stuffer.

He should be named “Notgonesoonenough”.

It’s “To WHOever picks it up.” Not “whomever.” “Who” is the subject of the phrase, and the whole phrase is the object of the preposition “to.”

And 5 lumps of coal to the first guy with a BBQ grill who picks them up!
