The apocalypse is nigh

Naturally she thinks that’s easy.

Simple solution: unplug “Alexis.”

is that true? If you connect lamps and stuff to Alexa are you no longer able to turn them on/off with the regular switch?

Get Alexis to recognize both your voices and phrases.

Alexis will probably tell Ralph it’s better to light one candle, or in this case, lamp, than to curse the darkness.

SERIOUSLY?!? PLEASE tell me there are not a lot of people this lazy.

Don’t have Alexis. Don’t want Alexis. Don’t need Alexis. Have no idea what I’d do with something in the house that listens to me.

I researched plugs I could use to turn off the stereo in the garage with my phone, alexa or whatever. Then I thought, what if the plug or the app stops working, then I have a $20 doorstop.

I don’t think Ralph likes that lamp any more than he does Alexis.

She’s so specifically passive agressive…

I have no desire to replace a $3 switch with a $90 one. Ditto light bulbs. There’s 22 in the master bath alone.

Never give an appliance a name that’s more than six syllables.

I am with Ralph on this one.

I do not understand the purpose or need for those types of gizmos that can be easily hacked.

At the rate things are going, it won’t be long before people won’t know how to turn on a light, because there generally are no directions on how to do so.

Try asking Alexis" “Open the pod bay doors, HAL.”

I have an Echo Dot, it was free, I use it to turn the TV on and off.

Neither Alexis nor Siri has ever been activated in my home.

Alexa is banned from my house.
