Well this plugger is plugged-in. Technology! Keyboard, iPhone, iPad. I pick up a pen so seldom and am so out of practice with my handwriting that whenever I do, the results would allow me to pass for being a medical doctor or pharmacist!
At least most of us still use pens and they eventually run dry so we can discard them with good conscience. We get promotional calendars, return address stickers, note pads, pens, penny stamps, mini flashlights, key chains, gift cards, etc. — more than we could ever possibly use. One of the advertising challenges today is finding promotional items that people want, need, or can at least find a use for. Cars don’t use keys; calendars and grocery lists are kept on phones; people text, email, post on social media, and very, very seldom send cards or write letters.

Not me, thankfully. Though I think most docs offices stopped that practice even way before covid.

We always take two. One to use and one on a clipboard for the number.

My doctor’s office pens all have tongue depressors taped to them, so they don’t get away I guess.
