Apparently commenters appear to believe that the difficulties the two main parties put in the way of third party Congressional candidates isn’t an issue.
For all the complaints about the lack of „third parties“, may I suggest that the main problem is that at least one of the „two“ parties now behaves like a „third“ party.
The problem with third parties is extremism.
Being „middle of the road“ doesn’t generate enough interest to form a party. You don’t see anyone „in the middle“ wanting to form a new party.
In the meantime, one party has become the „third party“.
I really don’t see how creating yet another „third party“ is going to fix that. If anything, a new „third party“ would likely encourage one (or both) of the two current „third parties“ to out- „third party“ the new „third party“.
To those criticizing us for even daring to read, let alone comment, on this strip, please remember:
Once upon a time, this was a decent strip with interesting and sometimes entertaining political commentary. Some of us still like to drop in and see how things are going.
In the meantime, there are some really good commentators here. I, for one, love to read the back-and-forth in the comments section, especially Silly.
It’s just too bad that the creator of this strip appears to have gone on permanent vacation.
AFAICT, Stantis has not published a collection of Prickly City since 2005. If he did, it would suddenly become clear how often he copies-and-pastes whole strips.

I like how Scott has unwittingly made a suggestion that might apply to the entire strip.

Oh, and braindead and others have pointed out correctly: That somehow, someway, it doesn’t matter what’s going on in the world today.
It doesn’t matter who’s done what.
In Scott’s eyes, there’s only one problem.
Hillary.
In the Trump years, in the Obama years, and now, in the Biden years. There’s only one problem. There’s only one thing going on.
Hillary.
So, I guess, let’s get used to another two to six years of Hillary comics from Scott Stantis.
