Still just a one TV family in the ’70s Maybe their parents should think about getting a second set to keep the kids from fighting.

I’ve often wondered about this: if Lucy and Peppermint Patty were to have a confrontation, who would come out on top?

I can see Lucy as a Drill Sargent in the USMC.

When this strip was published, they were probably watching Little House On The Prairie, Planet Of The Apes, or Kung Fu.

Poor Linus, living without a second TV or the Internet.

The next day, Lucy made it snow, which “killed off half the crops – but it was a good day”.

Yes, let’s watch this hard hitting program!

Oh the miserable self-deception of Linus the underdog who tries to love his fate!

Just thinking…either they finished their homework at school or just after dinner to be able to watch TV like this…

Just start liking her program, Linus – she’ll change the channel.

I sat so close to the TV when I was young. The doctor came to see my mother once when we were watching TV. He said: You’ll be wearing glasses by the time you are 10 when you keep sitting so close to the TV. He was wrong. I was 8 when I got my first glasses……

I don’t suppose Lucy would want to have watched “Mister Roger’s Neighborhood” with Linus. (It was the 70s!)
