The saga continues….I got back from the Grocery around noon and the toilets had backed up again. Hadn’t overflowed, so I called the plumber again. They said about two hours, so I got my lunch and played on my tablet. When they got here. I got up to answer the door and the guest toilet had overflowed and sewer water was all over the hall and seeping into the living room. I used every towel I had on the floors. I ended up washing them with bleach and then sprayed copious amounts of aLysol on the floors.
Plumber snaked the access on the patio, the sewer had overflowed out there too, you can imagine… and his snake wouldn’t go all the way to the street. That could mean the pipe is either broken or collapsed. They wanted to bring in a water blaster thing and clean out the pipe. $2900. By this time my SIL was here and he said no. That plumber said they could fix it but it would be $40 to $50 THOUSAND DOLLARS! oh heck no! As it was, that call cost me $400.
SIL called the City. If it’s after my pipe they pay. They came right out. Unfortunately it is my pipe, probably in the middle of my fake lawn. However City guy would give us some recommendations for someone to scope and clean out the pipe and dig up and fix the pipe for probably $3000.
Same thing happened when we lived in Vancouver. They had to trench across our garage floor. Apparently in the 80s and early 90s they were using this new kind of pipe from Asia. They now have found out It doesn’t last long and falls apart. That’s what kind of pipe everyone on our street and probably all of Sun City has. Like I said I’m the 4th house on this street to have a break.

I was about ten years old when I told my family that I would never get married or have kids. They told me that I would change my mind, but I never did. They told me that I would be a good mom, but I never wanted to be a mom. Being an aunt is enough for me.
Annie is always spot on with our boy. Visited my sister yesterday, she is doing much better! Trying to move her to rehab today, she’s dreading it as she won’t have her own room. I know I annoyed her by asking the nurses too many questions, just like I did with Craig but if you don’t ask….. There was a massive thunder lightning windy hailstorm as I was unloading my car at her house last night and I really got drenched!
If anyone should be jailed, it’s Chesney. Time for a trip tp the loading dock! On another note, saw three varied thrushes, a sparrow, a squirrel, a rabbit, and two juncos while out walking today.
