Maybe this is Dana’s method of changing “Phoebe and her unicorn” to just “Phoebe”. I still recall when “Robotman” evolved into “Monty”. I preferred the former character.

I would expect a unicorn to WANT to show their splendor, even if it was another unicorn just to cause jealousy.
