Every south american country except Chile. Other than that, I couldn’t name a single one. Well, maybe Peru and Argentina and Columbia, but that’s it.

I’ve seen plausible arguments for Australia and Finland not existing, but never Brazil.

Isn’t it time for that “teacher” to be put out to pasture??

I bet the principal would want that.

When deciding on bordering nations, does one include those across a body of water? I know obviously that if the boundary is a river then the countries border each other, but would African nations, being the closest areas of land on the other side of the ocean be considered as bordering Brazil?

Rosencrantz: I don’t believe in it anyway.

    Guildenstern: What?

    Rosencrantz: England.

Guildenstern: Just a conspiracy of cartographers, then?

I don’t believe in the studio release of “Brazil.” For me, Gilliam’s director’s cut is all that ever existed and ever will exist.

It’s true. Geography is faith-based. National borders are a fiction. They don’t exist in nature. We, humans, created them so kings could know which peasants and resources were “theirs” to exploit. (Google Treaty of Westphalia.) They only work because we believe in them, to the degree that we believe in them.
