That should be .1416 if we’re rounding.

There is a fraction of mathematicians who insist Pi should be simplified to 22/7.

Today members of the Wisconsin Bakers Association are running a statewide fundraiser, Pi for Peace. Proceeds from their pie sales will be donated to the Ukraine Red Cross.

“The mathematical constant π (pi = 3.141592653589…) is irrational. It goes on indefinitely and unpredictably. After the 762nd digit there is a group of 6 consecutive ‘9’s. This is referred to as the Feynman Point, as the Nobel-winning physicist Richard Feynman once stated in a lecture that he wished he could memorize all the digits of π up to the group of six ‘9’s so he could continue: ‘nine, nine, nine, nine, nine, nine, and so on.’”

You’re being irrational. What will your imaginary friend think? So you’re pisexual. No big deal, just don’t Fibonacci about it. Say, are you into golden ratios? You might give 1.618 a call…

    The Greeks used a base 60 number system. Alpha was one, Beta was 2, and so on. Eta was 8, Lambda was 30. 3 × 60^0 + 8 × 60^-1 + 30 × 60^-2 = 3.14167 or Gamma Eta Lambda
