A parliament of owls. In spite of what some people might say about the current English or Canadian political situation at any one time, notably now, that’s actually a pretty kind association.
Every license has a renewable date professional, hunting, motor vehicles, firearms.. plus you have to go for continual training….should a marriage license be the same.
The comments are great, except for the sexual stereotyping. I still like a murder of crows the best. I am curious about the history of that but won’t look it up. I would probably be disillusioned or disappointed.
An unkindness of ravens, A rave of ravens, Treachery of ravens, A conspiracy of ravens, A flock of ravens … and why is a hurt soldier carried on a litter (of puppies?)? “NEVERMORE!”
this is kinda off topic, but I’ve never understood why there isn’t a collective for the parts of a fraction. …but then I could never think of a good one either. (bothators never caught on)
All these names were literally concocted by a bunch of stuffy French-descended English dudes, so what this comic depicts is the accurate history of how we got all those weird group names.

I’d like to see Jason Chatfield try something like that: “what is the collective noun of boys” or “… of girls.”

A flourish of strumpets, a jam of tarts, a congress of whores. The last is considered insulting because not all whores are members of congress.
