Dad’s reality check, yes?

Wow. Didn’t see THAT one coming. Good on him for going along with it, though!

Fifteen pounds! Cutting out one beer, you’d need a whole year.

So the story has a happy ending, albeit not the one originally hoped for.

Both of you won, not the battles you assumed, but great battles. Your dad won the battle of the great waist, and you won the battle of being heard.

Sounds like Dad is winning.

For some reason this reminds me of

I say they BOTH won! Dad will live longer and healthier, and his son will have a father who lives longer and healthier. And the son won’t have a drinker for a father and that lowers his chance of being a drinker.

Maybe they’ll both eventually have ice cream once a week. =^_______^=

The kid ought to be punished for mouthing off to his dad.
