I so want that last panel on both a t-shirt and a poster. ❤ Just last week, after a rain shower, we had a double rainbow. The first I have ever seen in living colour. I told my boyfriend it was a sign of good things to come. The very next week I got hired at the salary I asked for, after looking for work as a software test analyst for two years, enduring dozens of rejections. Yes folks, there is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, and good things do come to those who wait. ;) ❤ HAPPY ST. PADDY’S/CATTY’S DAY!
Did anyone see the FB post about Tommy and Sophie sharing a sunbeam? Sort of? It was adorable! For a little bit, she was his pot o’ gold. I’d post the link to that post, but I don’t know how. So precious.
Tommy’s sweet lil feet in his footie suit! And the rainbow colors reflected all in his face- why, even Sophie couldn’t have painted it any prettier than Miss Georgia did!
Nothing really to say, the image of Tommy at the end of the rainbow made my jaw drop, just gorgeous. Another Georgia blog story (that I can actually find, if anyone’s interested) explains how as a child she begged and pleaded for her mother to follow any rainbow she saw, because certainly that’s where gold came from. I’m sure this inspired that in some way.
Every single panel is simply amazing today. The clink of the coffee cups in panel 2, with the beautiful tiny lady. The shades of green on Tommy. The smiles in panels 1 and 3. Ahhh.
Here is the full text of Georgia’s announcement "There is no replacing Lupin (or any pet, they are all irreplaceable), but Iggy in particular has been really missing the playmate he had in Lupin’s boundless eternal-kitten energy. Elvis, Puck, and Goldie love Iggy and enjoy cuddling and napping with him. However, he was often trying to get them to chase him (or chasing them much to Elvis’ annoyance) or batting toys their way only to have them sit where they landed. He was very sweet about it, but clearly a little bored and lonely. And so, on March 8th, International Woman’s Day, I adopted this lovely little lady from our local PAWS in Lynnwood, WA. Her page said that she could use a playmate or the company of other cats. Her litter mates had been adopted weeks ago and she came here from Eastern, WA when her shelter there ran out of room. I named her Ora Zella, for Louie Anderson’s mother. I always loved his stories about his mother in his stand up act, and adored her name. She is spayed, up to date on all her shots, and an absolute sweetheart. Her and Iggy have become fast friends and he follows her little darting tail and paws all over the house. “The kids” as I’ve begun to call them give the older cats a break (though Ora Zella often greets Puck with 5-6 licks to his face lol!) and have a lot of fun zooming around the house together. It’s my hope that these two can grow up together. Ora Zella comes to us a healthy cat, just a little kitty in need of a home and the company of other cats. When he first saw her, the Boy instinctively counted all her paws and was checking her eyes when I said, “Oh! No, buddy! This cat has all her paws and can see and hear.” The Boy emotionally declared, “well, I’m gonna love her anyway!” A year ago did I ever guess I would be adopting two kittens in the near future? No. I also did not know we would lose Lupin. Life has its ups and its downs for sure. I’m very grateful for these two though,
Happy Gotcha Day, Morticia! What a wonderful day when I drove over to get you. Your previous family must have had some hardships to give you up. You’ve been through a lot—poor nutrition (from the state of coat), learning to eat from the scary chip-activated feeder, learning a new hoomin’s ways, and giving That Big Boycat (a wussy-boy) what-for when he wanted to play with his “new toy”. (That’s sorted now.)
Sweet little goth princess, I’m so glad you’re with me!
Part of the magic of rainbows is that you can never reach the end. They are essentially a refraction effect that moves as you move. If you ever did reach the end of one, it would be reality-shattering.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day and may you chase your rainbows forever!
According to Georgia, the kids did set a trap — and look what happened! “Last night the kids left out a leprechaun trap, consisting of a box that would tumble another box. They added a letter to Shell, (our fireplace gargoyle whom they believe comes to life sometimes) to topple the box when he sees a leprechaun go for the empty chocolate gold wrapper. I also let them leave a light dusting of flour on the hardwoods, for footprints…ANNNNND almost IMMEDIATELY the kittens got into it. Flour footprints everywhere (IT WORKS!! ), boxes heaved over, just general chaos under the fireplace. The kids were still getting ready for bed, I clicked off the lights and hoped for the best. The kids woke up this morning to leprechaun footprints, Shell covered in flour, and the trap filled with rainbow jellybeans.THAT IRISH MAGIC IS STRONG! Happy St. Catty’s Day/St. Patrick’s Day!”

Meanwhile, Back on the Nile
At the Great Pyramid
Queen Titania: Welcome back, cat seekers. Have you found the archive room yet?
Puckmosis: We think we know where it is hidden, Your Majesty. There is a hieroglyph of a Siamese reading a scroll where the entryway was located.
Queen Titania: I’ll send a swarm to help search the wall. Thalia, would you like to assemble your team?
Thalia: Sure would. Let’s go, gang.
Sometime later
Thalia: Here’s an interesting hieroglyph. It looks like an angry sunflower.
Beatrixia: I think I’ve seen that before in real life. We must be getting close.
Thalia: Here’s a dignified picture. Could this be it?
Bea: I believe it is. Burt-Ra?
Burt-Ra: It does sound like it’s hollow back there. My crew will take care of it right away.
