I wondered what my ex was doing these days. He could sleep at any time, and it wasn’t narcolepsy. I had to wake him up when lights turned green, and he was driving.

I once was up most of the night with a sick child and then had to go to work the next day on just a couple of hours of sleep. In the bathroom I rested my chin in hands and elbows on knees, and actually fell asleep there on the toilet.

Puts one in mind of the Red Queen, running as fast as she can to stay in the same place.
