As long as they continue to pretend to pay us, we shall continue to pretend to work.

You work the same 10-hour day as then and you do the same work . . . AND you expect a raise?!! Perhaps we should think in terms of a career realignment.

I was a highly rated employee and got the top pay raise. The next year, my pay was too high and I got laid off.

He should consider himself lucky that he lasted 17 years at the same job.

This has been the bane of my existence. I do so well in my job, I get big pay raises. I am usually the top-paid person for my position in the company.

Then old management says, we got to sell the company, fire the top 10% in each pay grade. If old management doesn’t do that, then new management does.

“your production is higher than anyone in the company. since you started working for us 6 months ago we have been able to meet every one of our quotas and are expanding our line. we are more than pleased with your attitude and work ethic and don’t know what we would do without you. Soooo I have been authorized to give you a quarter an hour raise” (which brings you up to 1/3 of what everyone else is making who produce less than 1/2 of what you do on any of the jobs we assign them and you). in two weeks they found out what they could do without me. my buddy told me there were perks to my leaving because they hired two females to replace me and though they, the females, didn’t do much they were sure better looking than me. ROFL

burger flippers accept $15/hr. but they want a mgr who stands up to the Karens. No pay is worth being abused for.
