Six of one, half dozen of the other?

He didn’t say the whole team were thugs and cheats.

Only Capp is the thug and cheat.

For some reason, the rest of the team is afraid of him; otherwise, he’d have been kicked off long ago!!

Happy Mothering Sunday. Mothering Sunday is a special day in the UK which comes exactly three weeks before Easter Sunday. It is similar to the American Mother’s Day and some of us call Mothering Sunday Mother’s Day.

About a week ago, I mentioned again that I live in Chester. One of my regular repliers told me that he didn’t know I lived in Chester so I stated in my next comment on Andy Capp that I have mentioned living in Chester several times.

One time when I mentioned living in Chester was about three years ago. I mentioned a legend in Chester about an alderman whose daughter eloped with her Welsh lover to Wales through the Pepper Gate which is named after Pepper Street which is said to have that name as it was once Chester’s hot spot. The alderman ordered that the Pepper Gate was to be locked every night and this gave rise to the saying “If your daughter’s missing, lock the Pepper Gate” when someone does something too late.

I was in Christleton Village which is south-east of Chester yesterday. I noticed that they have a Pepper Street there as well.

Or as we used to call him Diego Marijuana.

I resemble that remark!

Which half?

There was a local Park District hockey team that took the game waaaayyy too seriously. The entire team was thugs and cheats, it got so no other teams would play them.

The ref should emulate Richard Sheridan (1751-1816 member of British Parliament: “Mr. Capp, I said half of your team are thugs and cheats it is true and I am sorry for it. You may place the punctuation where it pleases you.”

Not enough thugs for Andy’s taste.

It’s your fault ref, you don’t show that red card enough.

They need to work on weeding them off the team to make room for more thugs and cheats.

Well, many politicians who win elections don’t have criminal cases pending against them.

I bet Andy wishes EVERYONE on his team was thugs or cheats.

Andy is just being mean!
