One of my favorite quotes is by Mark Twain: “If you don’t read newspapers, you’re uninformed. If you do read them, you’re misinformed.” [That applies nicely to nearly all media today.]
patrick murphy, loony squiggles, montana bill, rikitikirussianbot, klemubermoron, ammosexuallydysfunctional, opspecial ed, JAwholikesbluegrass, jane b thinkin’ VERY ignorantlee, 60 rottenbuzzardbrains adhered to a scorching sidewalk, sammy ugly avatar, leonarddonk feelin’ good all the time.
Left that stuff behind in 2019 and except for med updates read only headlines. Been around 8 decades or so, thus headlines simply trigger memories of the same types of events and calamities that have occurred in that time. No need to read the gory details as earlier iterations are already imprinted in my memory.
My overall take on the news is sadness that not much has improved over the years except the ability of one person or group or nation to efficiently destroy another through improved armaments. C’est la tragédie du monde.

You can be well-informed or, well, informed.

Moderately fair and balanced.

The trick is that most misinformation comes in an “old bottle”. Once you’ve seen the “asteroid to hit Earth” stories a few times, you just move on.

We could all learn from this.

I try to be minimally informed. My state of mind can only take so much of today’s reality.

It feels nice to not be on (anti)social media and have a brain that actually works
