Folsom and nearby California towns thumbed the nose to lockdowns beginning in August 2020 or so. Large fairs and market gatherings are common by April 2022. I was the only one wearing a mask on April 24 on Sutter Street. The sky hasn’t fallen as a result.

That’s one reason I prefer to wear a mask. So if I cough, people don’t look  at me like that.

I have an intermittent cough unrelated to any infection, I always wear a mask when among others. This reaction is common.

God forbid if you sneeze! Could be allergies, or just a random sneeze, but everyone looks at you like you’re Typhoid Mary

I hate this time of year. My cough is annual, consistent, a pain in the arse, and entirely driven by allergies.

I cough because I have a non-Covid related lung disease. I feel compelled to explain for the comfort of people around me. And I am still wearing a mask because I can’t afford to get sick since I have compromised lungs already. It’s a health issue.

I have allergies so I’m coughing and sneezing right now. Some tiny part of me feels guilty. It’s irrational, but people are so sensitized, as if the only possible reason could be COVID.

On a somewhat tangential topic…for those suffering from seasonal allergies I highly recommend Flonase(not a sponsor). I have been using it now for a couple of years and it saved me from the annual springtime torture sessions.

I hope you don’t get it ….. a lot of really healthy and young people have actually DIED, you know. Plus, I hope you don’t lose any relatives or close friends to it…I’ve lost 3 relatives and 2 friends….and another friend has long term COVID and they are not sure they will ever be able to totally recover from it! Good Luck

When I post a source that disagrees with trump republicans, I am not posting it for them. They believe only conspiracy sources (from an unknown “person” named “Q”) that reinforce their worst beliefs. I post for those who are impartial and openminded.

It sure does. Not getting better either. Shanghai locked down, Beijing panic buying emptying stores. Gonna be rough going the rest if the year. Good thing the variants are getting milder though, so we’ve got that. So far.

They’re never going back to that café? But isn’t it the only café in town? As far as I know it’s been their one and only hangout since the strip debuted over twenty years ago.

I mean hell, you can clearly see on the door in the last panel that its name is just “Café!” You don’t get to use a name like that unless you’ve cornered the market!

I actually do have covid presently, day 10, coughing stuff up from my lungs still, so I get it. Yesterday I think I OD’d on Ricola Duals (they have cough syrup at the center) .. made for a nasty tummy ache after consuming 10+. But until that point, my throat felt better!
