I hate when they do this to Annie. She deserves far better.

I thought Annie lived there.

Looks like no supper again for those ingrates.

Our Annie takes a licking and keeps on ticking. (Tho’ she shouldn’t have to.)

Annie is absolutely correct! They should be counting their blessings! So many homeless cats have a rough life. Some cats with homes are brutally mistreated, neglected and killed. These cats don’t realize how lucky they are to have a friend like Annie.

Today is:

Easter. And those last minute shoppers will be descending on Walmart asking me if we have any empty Easter baskets or plastic eggs. We don’t. We still have quite a bit of Easter candy, though.

International Bat Appreciation Day. I appreciate bats very much. I just wish I would see a lot more of them.

You’ll all be grateful when Annie comes back, like she always does to you ungrateful mean kitties!!!

It seems I am most grateful these days when we don’t have destructive winds.

Bad Kitties! Grateful for not sleeping outside and having a meal. I hope.

I believe this is called “Biting the hand that feeds you.” What ungrateful animals they are. Just not funny.

Happy Easter, and best wishes to all observing Passover, Ramadan, or just celebrating a new day.

I decided not to do a ham this year. I was up to 2 a.m. last night making food for today, a favorite, Hungarian Székelykáposzta, with sausage, pork, bacon, paprika, onions, garlic, lots of sauerkraut and sour cream. It has to cook for at least 4 hours. Life got in the way, and I didn’t start it until very late. I made potatoes last night, but it occurred to me it might be good with egg noodles, so I want to make those as well.

I made cream cheese frosting for my cake, but did not bake the cake. I’ll just have that to do today. I am making small rabbit-shaped cakes, so they will cool quickly and be ready to eat in no time. I just do the frosting on the side, not over the cute bunnies. I was going to do carrot cake, but I am so far behind, I will most likely just throw together a devil’s food chocolate cake. The bunny cake pan is made by Nordic Ware, if you’ve never seen one, they are really cute. The one I have does 6 bunny “cakelets,” and they have another that does 12 mini bunnies.

Ms Shepherd posted a happy easter wish on Snow Sez today, and promises that he will be back soon! For those of you on FB, there is also an easter card!!

Okay, that was just mean. I bet Oliver is at least grateful Annie’s there to look after them. Happy Easter, by the way. On another note, saw seven robins and a towhee while out walking today.
