Urea? Moby Dick in the prairie? Explanation, please, anyone. I remember a Disney cartoon from when I was little of a whale singing Shortnin’ Bread. Maybe it’s related.
Hey, it’s Whaleon Jennings…
I think the reference here is to the “vocalizations” in whale song. That’s all I’ve got.
Dave?
Googling “Ureon”…. the only thing I found is that according to a huge “Star Trek” wiki, there’s a (presumably obscure) starship(?) of that name:
“The Ureon is a Warbarge Dreadnought in service to the Orion Syndicate in 2409. "
If that has anything to do with it… it could explain “ON the Ureon” … but not much else, IMHO.
I see no mention of a whale there… but since I don’t know all the jargon, I couldn’t say for sure.
Cute whale. Lol.
Maybe it’s “range” in whale-song? Don’t know; I don’t speak whale.
Yeah, this one was a stretch.
First thing my wife said to me this morning: “Nobody’s going to get your cartoon today.” The ‘you idiot’ part was implied.
Problem is, the cowboys sitting round a campfire miles away will hear it, too.
I’ll go with whale song
It would sound much better than a bowl of petunias singing “Oh, No, Not Again.”
I absolutely don’t get it! Come on, Dave, how about an explanation?!
I speak whale. Not sure why the whale is singing about “Home, home on the oven”, though.

Where the beer and the cantaloupe spray…
There’s a great deal of satisfaction in getting an obscure joke when most others don’t. Or so I hear. I’ve never experienced it. Here, either.
And what’s that line going over Whitey’s forehead?
All we ever have is beans. How about some squid?
Who you callin’ ‘Whitey’?" :-D
All I’m sayin’ is … I’d rather err on the ‘I Don’t Get It’ side rather than the ‘Man, Is That Lame’ side.
man, he’s one whale of a singer…
