I see a future for Calvin in the finance industry.

People don’t, but Hobbes does.

Even Calvin’s bad ideas have bad ideas.

He has a promising future in snake oil

I think Calvin needs to speak a lot louder, maybe with a megaphone.

Predatory lending is not a Great Idea.

Calvin discovers usury!

100% interest is well below the norm… Payday loan sharks charge more than 1,500% interest…

In such financial matters they are quickly gone!!

Calvin has a great future in the DemoRepubliCat party…

Watch out. Being usurious to your friends may not be a good idea especially when your friends are bigger than you are and they are hungry tigers that can turn on you and eat you if you don’t feed them!

His rates are a bit more charitable than some lenders.

“How do I know your ideas are great?”

“It says so on my sign.”

This is a little like when Calvin had a card stating that he was a genius and claimed to be a card-carrying genius.

In the early days of the Catholic church, it was a sin to charge interest. Nothing produced except money. Hmmmmmm ?

Hmm, I think Mom and/or Dad wouldn’t just walk away—they’d have clobbered Calvin!!

And yet there are people today that think similar (not quite as outrageous) scenarios are “very good deals”. Schools should teach the impact of paying interest for purchases.

Good on Hobbes. Walking away is a great idea.

Sounds like Calvin has the same idea as loansharks in my state were charging up to four hundred percent interest till we put stop to it.

I think that’s the way universities sell useless degrees…

They do know great ideas, Calvin. They just haven’t seen one.

What a great idea! For Calvin.

Maybe because Calvin lacks great ideas that are worthwhile.

But a terrible idea like that is obvious.
